For the App
Operating System
The Rental Inspector app is available for iOS (Apple) or Android operating systems. You can find the app in the App Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android) on your device. The apps are free to download. Afterward, log in with your email address and password to connect the app to your Rental Manager (paid subscription or trial version required).
Tablet
The app is optimized for tablets. These offer the best user experience and are more ergonomic. We recommend a storage capacity of at least 256 GB; 512 GB or higher is even better.

Be careful with budget models: These tablets often lack sufficient memory and processing power to run the app smoothly. Additionally, the camera quality is not always optimal.
Smartphone
The app is not optimized for smartphones. We strongly discourage regular use on a smartphone, as you sacrifice too much in terms of overview and ergonomics. Only a tablet guarantees an optimal experience.
If you absolutely must use a smartphone, choose a high-end device with a screen size of at least 6 inches, such as the iPhone 17 Pro Max or the Samsung Galaxy S26.
Tablet with SIM card?
Some tablet models offer the option to use a SIM card so that you remain online via the mobile network (4G / 5G). This is a nice-to-have but not a requirement for Rental Inspector. A tablet with only Wi-Fi is perfectly suitable, as no internet connection is required to perform an inventory/rental inspection. The choice is yours.
Rental Manager
In addition to the app, there is the Rental Manager. This is 100% cloud-based software that you use in a modern browser, such as Google Chrome or Apple Safari, on a laptop or desktop computer.
